Visual Designer

What will you do as a Visual Designer at Webabstract?

There are three people working on a usual project: a UX Designer, a Visual Designer, and a UX Researcher. As a Visual Designer, you will be working with UX Designer on crafting usable interfaces. Your job is to get the most out of the visuality of the product. You start by working with the UX Designer to understand the product, collaborate and sketch ideas then continue by creating detailed wireframes and wireframe prototypes.

When you have the wireframes, you will craft beautiful and meaningful visual designs and prototypes. We keep the visual design as extremely important. Just look at our portfolio. We love clean, minimalistic designs, constantly challenge ourselves to come up with better and better designs. No mediocre work here, you will design cutting-edge designs with us!

This is you:

• You know that a good design is not just beautiful, but meaningful and usable as well
• You can defend your design solutions and bring reasons on why do you think it will work nicely
• You can easily design in completely different design styles and adapt to an existing visuality doesn't mean a problem for you
• You have an eye for details: that pixel has to be there!
• You think that light gray Helvetica Neue with light font-weight looks spectacular on a retina screen, but if it's not readable for to users you throw it away
• Strong background in designing wireframes - you wouldn't start to design without them
• You love to design for mobile screens
• Fluent written and verbal English is a must
• You get along well with Sketch, Invision, and Craft
• You love to experiment with different designs to get the best result even if it's not the first design
• Good sketching skills: you think paper is for experimenting, and you are not afraid of getting your hands dirty in paper prototyping
• Experience with UX research is not a requirement, but a big plus. However, you will be involved in usability tests and analyze product with the team, so you need to be open minded and have interest in these topics as well
